The Flower Fields
Flowers By Phoebe at Kurtz's
In 2017, after several years of growing collaboratively on other farms, Flowers By Phoebe found a new home on the property of CSA members Kim and Eric Kurtz. Just a mile and a half from the new Flowers by Phoebe Studio in Downtown Goshen, these new fertile fields offer us plenty of space to grow succession plantings of annual blooms and to experiment with more naturalized perennial plantings including pussy willow, curly willow, viburnum, peonies, hellebore, ferns, and hosta. We are hoping to erect a field tunnel/greenhouse in early 2018 which will also allow us to extend our seasons well into April and November. We are also excited to continue collaborating with other local flower growers and hope to expand those relationships in the coming year. You can read about their farms below.
Red Tail Farm
Red Tail Farm is an urban farm and event center located only 1/2 mile from Goshen's thriving downtown. This beautiful farm is nestled right off of the Mill Race Trail and features an historic English three-bay threshing barn and bucolic outdoor spaces for hosting private weddings, parties, performances and community events. Newly restored wetlands, forest trails, and a community garden offer lots of educational opportunities for the Goshen community. It's owners, Adam Scharf and Anna Wiebe are delightful event planners and collaborators who seek to bring the brightest and best people together to make the farm a vibrant and happening place.
